The Western Pennsylvania region has hundreds of car show and car cruise community events. They are a great way for enthusiasts to get together and support the cause. Below is a short list of annual events (one for each month) that have been growing for decades. Pittsburgh Vehicle PPI is a proud supporter of these events and we hope to see you there.
Rollin Oldies Car Show (New Stanton, PA) Sunday May 26, 2019 (8am to 3pm)
Located in New Stanton Park, the 29th Annual Rollin Oldies Car Show is a quaint event to kick back in a park setting to kick off the summer cruising season. The show is informal, with the only judging being done by children from Westmoreland County Special Olympics. There are awards, a basket auction, raffles, 50/50, oldies DJ, and food vendors. Stan Hywet Father’s Day Car Show (Akron, OH) Sunday June 16, 2019 (9am to 4pm)
Located at the Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, the 62nd Annual Father’s Day show is hosted by the Ohio Region Classic Car Club of America. The event focuses on quality and displays approximately 400 classic, antique, and collector cars on the lawns of the estate which provides a nice backdrop. Vintage Grand Prix Car Show (Pittsburgh, PA) Sat & Sun, July 20 & 21, 2019 (9am to 4pm)
Located in Schenley Park, the 37th Annual Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is America’s largest vintage auto racing event and the only one run on public streets. The 10-day celebration of events is run by more than 1000 volunteers to benefit the Autism Society and the Allegheny Valley School. The International Car Show takes place on the Bob O’Conner Golf Course surrounding the races through Schenley Park. This is a non-judged show where the fairways are lined with thousands of cars organized by country and manufacturer. Hot Summer Nights Car Cruise (Beaver, PA) Saturday August 3, 2019 (11am to 9pm)
Located in beautiful historic Downtown Beaver, the 33rd Annual Hot Summer Nights is the Super Bowl of car cruises in tri-state region. It is nationally recognized as one of the Top-10 Car Cruises in the eastern half of the United States with 4000 cars and 40,000 people attending. Western PA Region AACA Car Show (Latrobe, PA) Sunday September 1, 2019 (9am to 5pm)
Located in Legion Keener Park, the 56th Annual Paul P. Bell Memorial Car Show is hosted by the Antique Automobile Club of America. This is a judged show with 24 Classes, registration is open from 9am to Noon, and all judged vehicles must have a working fire extinguisher displayed. Applefest Car Show (Franklin, PA) Sunday October 6, 2019 (9am to 5pm)
Located in Victorian downtown Franklin, PA, the 37th Annual Applefest car show is a great season ending finale. The cars fill the streets and 300 arts & crafts vendors fill the park. Approximately 50,000 people attend this festival that features a giant arts and crafts fair, a beer fest, wagon rides, kids korner, farmers market, live entertainment and plenty of food.
